Day 1: Arrival in Paro & Transfer to Thimphu
Breathtaking mountain flight into Paro or ground transfer from Phuentsholing. Meet your certified Bhutanese tour guide and drive 1 hour along Pa Chhu river to Thimphu (7,600 ft).
Day 2: Thimphu Full Day Cultural Exploration
Visit Buddha Dordenma (169 ft bronze Buddha), National Memorial Chorten, Motithang Takin Preserve (national animal), Simply Bhutan living museum, and Tashichho Dzong.
Day 3: Thimphu to Paro & Rinpung Dzong
Morning drive to Paro. Visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong) and walk across the cantilever bridge to Rinpung Dzong. Explore Paro town bazaar for hand-woven textiles and prayer wheels.
Day 4: Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang)
Embark on the spiritual 4 to 5 hour hike to Paro Taktsang (10,240 ft), where Guru Rinpoche flew on the back of a tigress to meditate. Evening traditional Bhutanese dinner and optional hot stone bath.
Day 5: Paro Airport / Phuentsholing Departure
Transfer to Paro International Airport or drop to Phuentsholing border for onward journey with blessings from the Dragon Kingdom.
