Experience Happy Valley Tea Estate
Established in 1854, Happy Valley Tea Estate is Darjeeling’s second-oldest tea estate and its most accessible. Spanning over 437 acres on steep slopes just below Darjeeling town, some of the tea bushes here are over 150 years old.
Happy Valley produces certified organic, biodynamic Darjeeling orthodox teas celebrated worldwide as the "Champagne of Teas." The estate supplies legendary international luxury tea purveyors, including Harrods in London.
Visitors can walk amidst the rolling emerald tea hills, watch tea pluckers at work, and join an informative guided factory tour where tea masters explain the steps of withering, rolling, fermenting, drying, and grading.
