About The Destination

Experience Pelling Glass Skywalk

Located in the serene hill station of Pelling in West Sikkim, the Pelling Skywalk is India’s first glass skywalk. Suspended dramatically thousands of feet above sea level, the transparent glass walkway allows visitors to look straight down into the forested gorge below while walking toward the colossal 137-foot statue of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara).

The Chenrezig statue is the fourth tallest statue in Sikkim and is flanked by giant golden prayer wheels and statues of Buddhist deities. The grand staircase leading to the statue is flanked by vibrant Buddhist motifs and prayer flags.

On clear mornings, the skywalk offers one of the most unobstructed, jaw-dropping panoramas of Mount Kanchenjunga and its neighboring Himalayan giants, making it an architectural and spiritual marvel.
